Tuff Old Girl
I am a year older than Duke. That also means that I am a year (at least) wiser than Duke. Because of that, I have learned a couple of things that Duke hasn't. Probably the most valuable thing that I have learned is that as long as Daddy is nearby, I can pretty much do anything to Duke that I want, without fear of retribution.
Take last night for example. I was sitting in Daddy's lap, happily enjoying my Blue Dog Bakery treat, when Duke made a near-fatal mistake. He jumped right up into Daddy's lap, and started crowding my space. This was completely unacceptable of course, so I turned around and tried to bite off the side of his face. Duke never saw it coming.
Before he could react, Daddy got in between us, pushed Duke off the chair, and held me back. I was acting all tough, like I wanted to jump down and go after him, but in reality, I was satisfied that I had made my point. I have a feeling Duke will think twice before he tries something like that again. But then again, maybe he hasn't learned his lesson yet. If that's the case, I will have no problem schooling him again if I have to.

I feel a little torn by this post. On the one paw, I am with you, Gidget, as we chicks have to stick together. Girl power and all, right? :)
On the other paw, I don't want to see Duke's precious face (or tongue!) hurt at all. Please take it easy on him, Gidget. I mean, just look at that mug!

Sela is proud of you, Gidget, as she used to be on the "streets" and says it's important to defend your territory! Winston, however, feels that sharing is an important attribute and thinks you should have given Duke some of your chew. What does Winston know?
You keep it up Gidget. Since Duke takes over all the toys anyhow(hence the one toy for Easter) the very least you can do is have your Daddy's lap to yourself!! As you know, Girls Rule!!!!! Big hugs and sloppy puglett kisses!!!!!!!! Godmommy Of course you are smarter and wiser. Not only because you are a year older but the girls always are,ya know!
You tell him! I am sure he will try again since he just wants to be close to you. Duke just wants to be close to his sister...who is alpha? Porky & Brownie is 1 year apart and they are always fighting now because Brownie doesn't know his place...according to Pork. I am sure Porky can sympathize with you Gidget as he also does not enjoy being pestered and annoyed by Brownie. Brownie is attached to Pork at the hip which annoys Pork.
Way to go Gidget, you have to hold your ground...you are after all older and we all know Duke gets spoiled because he is the baby.
I am the only pug at my house, I am 6 years old...my parents named me Monster...can you believe that. I was adopted from what my mom calls a "Pug Farm", they were breeders but when my mom and dad showed up there were like 20 pugs where I was living, so I demanded that I now live alone and that is the only way I will have it!

Norm, poor Duke my Pug butt! He usually gets the better of me, so no way should he get any sympathy! I do appreciate you laughing at him though!
Suki, don't worry, Duke's precious face wasn't harmed. I think the only thing I hurt was his ego.
Page, apparently Winston knows very little. You see, Duke had already finished his treat when he was trying to move in on mine. So Sela's got it right. We must defend what is ours.
Godmommy, you got it right. Us girls are always wiser than those smelly boys.
Lepug, Duke is definitely the alpha around here, except for when I am on Daddy's lap. Then I make the rules. And actually, he doesn't really follow me around much, but he finds other ways to be a pain in my pug butt.
Monster, it's good to meet you, and we love your name. We think Monster is a very cool name. We are very glad that you are happy living alone in your forever home, and we hope to hear from you again.

Hey Gidget! I've told you are a little warrior! It is good that you show who the boss is! I don’t think Duke learnt his lesson… I’m talking from experience… you know when I got stuck under the bed?... well I’m still trying to play there and I get stuck…:P
