Shots

Today, we went to the vet to get our shots updated. We don't usually like getting shots, but Mom & Dad said we had to if we want to go to Doggie Haven next week. We'll do just about anything to go to Doggy Haven, so off to the vet we went.

We weren't in the office for 30 seconds before Duke dropped a deuce on the waiting room floor. Then for good measure, he peed on the wall. That darn Dukie! We can't take him anywhere!

The rest of the trip went pretty well. We have both lost about 3 pounds since we started our diet, so dad was very happy about that. They told him that Duke was looking pretty good, but I could stand to lose a couple more pounds. I did not like that at all. Grrrrr.

So anyways, we got our shots all taken care of, and they even tested our poop. I don't understand why they needed to test our poop. I could have told them, my poop is perfect!

For The Love Of Pug

Sometimes, we get all excited and bark too much. This can really annoy Mom and Dad, especially if they are trying to watch TV.

Sometimes, we wake up Mom and Dad in the middle of the night and make them take us outside. They would much rather be sleeping.

Sometimes we jump all over people when they come to visit us. Mom and Dad really wish we would learn to be better hosts.

Sometimes we poop on the carpet. This can make Mom and Dad very angry.

Yep, we are definitely no angels. And we certainly know how to get Mom and Dad upset. But then they remember what life was like before we came to live with them. And they realize that no matter what we put them through, no matter how many flower beds we dig up, they wouldn't trade the time they have spent with us for anything.

We love you too Mom and Dad.

Better Luck Next Time

I tried and tried but I didn't get any bratwurst!

I did manage to score a couple tortilla chips when Mom and Dad weren't looking. The only reason I got caught was because I was wearing the evidence on my forehead. Maybe next week I'll wear a hat and I can get some cheese and salsa to go with the chips!

Seahawk Sunday

Duke and I have had a very busy weekend. Friday night we were up late entertaining some human guests, Saturday we caught up on some much needed yardwork (Mommy and Daddy love it when we help out), and this morning we are busy resting up our vocal chords for the big Seahawk game. The crazy man who lives next door will be here grilling up some bratwurst with our daddy. Hopefully, they will drink lots of beer cuz they always seem to spill more food when they drink heavily. So hopefully we can score some bratwurst and cheer on the Hawks to victory! Good times! Go Hawks!

Poop Shelter

Gidget hates the rain. Mom and Dad literally have to chase her around the house to get her to go outside if it is raining. So dad had this brilliant idea. He put up an old umbrella to shield her from the rain. He thinks this will make it easier to get her to go outside to do her business. C'mon, this is Gidget we're talking about. It's gonna take a lot more than one little umbrella to get her outside in the rain. I'm thinking a retractable roof over the whole backyard might be a little more effective. Besides, I figure the first good windstorm we get and that umbrella is gonna end up in the neighbors backyard. I sure hope it doesn't though. I kinda like peeing on it.

A Busy Week

Duke and I have had a very busy week. It all started last Sunday when the crazy man who lives next door came over to watch the Seahawk game with our Daddy. They BBQ'd up some chicken and drank lots of beer. The game started at 10:00 AM but the party lasted until late that night. We love when the crazy man comes over because he gives us lots of belly rubs and butt scratches. Needless to say, Duke and I slept very well that night.

We spent Monday recovering, but the rest of the week has been more of the same. We have had visitors every night, and being the social butterflies that we are, we have been very busy keeping everybody entertained. Tuesday night, we got so excited that one of us (and I'm not saying which one) left Mommy and Daddy a little surprise on the carpet. It wouldn't have been that bad, but then Duke proceeded to run through it and track it all over. That darn Dukie! Mommy and Daddy were not very amused.....

Yesterday, Mommy's computer crashed, so she is not very happy right now. Daddy went through the same thing just last month, so now it must be Mommy's turn. She had lots of pictures of us on there, so we are hoping she can recover them.

Today, we are back to the typical Western Washington weather pattern. Rain, rain, and more rain. We'll be lounging on the couch if you need us.

Random Pics

Just to remind everybody how cute we are, we thought we would post a few random pics of ourselves. Enjoy!

Yes, that is Duke's real tongue.

Duke Doesn't like the cone very much.

I look pretty tough in my t-shirt.

This picture was actually featured on the local news during their pet walk forecast. Yep, I'm a TV star!

Cheeeeeeese. Have a great weekend everybody!

Guitar Lessons

On Thursday nights, our human cousin Keith comes over for guitar lessons. Gidget and I try to help out as much as we can, usually by jumping all over him while he is playing. If that doesn't seem to be working, we try to help out by inspecting his guitar case. If it passes inspection, sometimes I will even leave him a little surprise in there. I hope he appreciates it. Anyway, all this help we are giving does seem to be working, as he is starting to become a pretty good guitar player. We just hope that when he does make the big time, he doesn't forget all the little pugs who helped him get there.

The End of Summer

Duke and I are feeling a little bummed. Now that Labor day is over, that means summer is just about over also. And that means rain is coming. Lots and lots of rain. And we don't like rain. In fact, we are not very fond of water in any form. I have been known to hold my poop all day long just to avoid going out in the rain. Duke on the other hand, feels no shame about dropping the occasional deuce on the carpet. Barbarian!

The only good thing about the end of summer is the start of football season. We watch all the games with our daddy and the crazy man who lives next door. He's not really THAT crazy, he just likes to drink beer and yell at the TV a lot. Good times. Go Seahawks!
