Hey, Where'd Everybody Go?

Gidget's unsuccessful attempt at being Crazy Lobster Head For Pug-O-Ween.

Pug-O-Ween

So we got to go to our meetup group's Pug-O-Ween party after all. Here are a few pictures:

Gidget and I getting ready. I was Crazy Vampire Pug and Gidget was Crazy Dinosaur Pug. We sure look happy, don't we?

This is Winston looking as cute as ever in his policeman costume. He won first place in the costume contest! Way to go Winston! We, on the other hand, won nothing. Are we jealous? Noooooo, not us!

There was a Hot Dog Pug and a Bumble Bee Pug....

There was a Crazy Vampire Pug (hey that's me!) and, uhm, Liberace Pug?

There was Harness Pug, another Bumble Bee Pug, and Universe Pug. And of course that's Crazy Vampire Pug in the foreground making sure everybody stayed in line.

All in all, we had a wonderful time. Gidget and I got a little tired and cranky near the end, but hey, what do you expect. We're not puppies anymore you know. We wish we had taken more pictures, but it's not easy keeping track of two crazy pugs and taking pictures too. Hopefully Winston will have some more pics posted soon. Happy Pug-O-Ween everybody!

A Closeup Of The Carnage

Duke, you are an animal!

We Have a Winner!

Well, looks like the contest is over. This is what Mommy and Daddy came home to yesterday. A burger with a hole in it. You'll also notice that the piece of "lettuce" is almost completely gone. I expect we'll be finding that in the backyard later today, if ya know what I mean. hehehe. So that means Napoleon and Maggie from The Pug Farm nailed the date! Way to go guys! All we need now is for Pug Mommy to email us her address and we would be more than happy to send you the slimey, stinky, chewed up burger! Congratulations! Oh and if we find any of the "lettuce" we'll send that along too!

In other news, it looks like we might just be going to the Pug-O-Ween party after all. Stay tuned for more details. Right now we're off to look at more costumes. We know it's pretty late to be doing that, but the costumes we have now are pretty lame. Hopefully Winston hasn't bought them all yet!

Making Progress

Well, Duke has already started making progress towards his goal of annihilating burger #6. As you can see from the picture, he has already chomped up one of the pieces of "lettuce". I'm thinking those of you that picked an October date in the pool are looking pretty good right now!

In other news, we have been shut out of the Pug-O-Ween party with our meetup group. It seems Daddy waited too long to RSVP and it was already full. Grrrrrr. We are pretty upset with Daddy right about now. He had better give us LOTS of treats to make up for this snafu. Perhaps a few new squeaky toys might also be in order. Of course, we really feel bad for all the other Pugs in our group. I mean it just won't be the same without us there. Sorry guys. Try to enjoy yourselves anyway.

And don't let your mommy forget to take pictures this time Winston!

Burger #6

Today, we would like to thank everybody who left comments urging our Mommy and Daddy to get us another burger. Thanks to your support and our incessant whining, we succesfully guilt-tripped them into getting us another one. That's right, burger number six has landed!

On a side note, we are starting a pool based on how long it takes Duke to destroy this one. I have November 4th.

Accidents Can Happen

This is what can happen sometimes when Dad is trying to make me do a stupid pet trick, and he gets his hand too close to my mouth. It'll be OK though, he is going to have his fingertips surgically re-attached tomorrow.

A New Toy And Some New Treats

We are still trying to talk Mom & Dad into buying us another burger. But in the meantime, they got us this squeaky bug thing with six legs instead. It's an OK toy, it's just not the same as the burger. Oh, and I already chewed it's nose off. hehehe

We also got some new treats. They are called Beggar Dog Biscuits, and they are all natural. They are shaped like hearts, and Mom says that is appropriate, because we are always stealing hearts. I'm not real sure what that means, but I don't care, just give me the biscuit already!

I think they taste pretty good, but I'm not real sure. Nothing ever stays in my mouth long enough for me to actually taste it.

Another Burger Bites The Dust

Today, Duke destroyed another burger toy. That makes five burgers he has destroyed since he moved in 3 years ago. This one only lasted 3 weeks. You see, the burger was my first ever toy (as you can see from the inset picture), so it was kinda special to me. That's why Mommy & Daddy would always buy me a new one after Duke destroyed it. I think they are ready to give up. That darn Dukie! I wish there was some way to make him understand it is not a real burger!

Halloween Card

Today, we got a Halloween card from our buddy Jay. Since we liked it so much, and because we have never received a Halloween card before, we decided to post it. Thanks Jay!

We Survived The Weekend

Yep, we made it through the weekend with Daddy. So you can stop worrying Mommy. Really.

Saturday, we had a great time at the Pug meetup. We got reacquainted with all our old friends, and we finally got to meet our buddy Winston in person. He is just as cute in real life as he is on his blog. Unfortunately, Mommy took the camera with her to Massachusettes, so we couldn't take any pictures. Winston had his camera though, and we would bet he will be posting some soon.

Sunday we didn't make it to the birthday party. Mommy told Daddy that he could only take us with him if we stayed outside. For some reason, she thinks Duke would pee on everything if he went in Grandma's house. Hmmmm, I wonder what would ever give her that idea? So anyways it was raining a little in the morning, so Daddy decided not to take us. That darn Dukie! he ruined my fun again!

Today, we went to our favorite place in the whole world. Doggie Haven! We just love that place! If it was up to me, we would go there for daycare every day. Unfortunately, I am allowed very little input on major decisions like this. Life is so unfair.....

So to sum up: We are beat. We plan on spending the next 36 hours sleeping. That should get us completely re-energized for when Mommy comes home on Wednesday. We need our strength back because we plan on giving her LOTS of Pug kisses. See you soon Mommy!

Weekend With Dad

Mom went to a place called Massachusetts yesterday to visit family. We have never been to Massachusetts, but a lot of our favorite humans live there, so it must be a pretty cool place. Consequently, we will be spending the weekend hanging out with Dad.

Hanging with the Dad means two things, more treats and less rules. Don't get me wrong, we are going to miss Mommy a lot, it's just that Dad has a little more laid back attitude when it comes to dealing with us crazy Pugs. So you never know what trouble we might get into. We might even figure out a way to get out the front door and take a couple unsupervised walks around the neighborhood. Ok, not really, I just wanted to freak out Mom a little bit.

But seriously, we have got a pretty fun weekend planned out. A Pug meetup today, a birthday party tomorrow, and daycare on Monday. I think Dad wants us to get all tired out for when we have to stay home alone on Tuesday and Wednesday. Good plan Dad, I think it will probably work. Have a great trip Mom!

General Craziness

This is what happens when Duke makes me angry. He should learn not to antagonize the Gidgenator!

Attack Of The Strawberry Tomatoes

Today, Gidget and I discovered a new treat! They are called strawberry tomatoes, and they were just lying in the garden. Actually, Gidget is the one who discovered that we could squeeze around the fence and get into the garden. As soon as I saw her doing this, I immediately shoved her aside and went in myself. I ate six or seven of those little red tomatoes before Dad saw what I was doing. He wasn't very happy with me. I didn't understand why until I threw up on the couch. Then I understood. Oh well, no big deal, I'll be back looking for more tomorrow.
