One Last Christmas Post

We think we did pretty good at getting gifts this year, so we just had to show everybody what we got. And we promise, no more Christmas posts for at least 11 months!

This is a mouse pad that we had made for Dad.

This is a coffee cup that we also had made for Dad. We like to call it "The Pug Mug Mug"

This is a Seahawks pennant that we got for The Crazy Man Who Lives Next Door. We figure he can wave it while we watch the football games together. And yep, that is The Crazy Man himself finally showing his face. Well, most of it anyway...

For Mom, we got a Target gift card. We heard they have lots of cool doggie toys at Target, so we're hoping she will spend it all on us. Happy early New Year everybody!

Christmas Pictures

Duke waiting for the present opening festivities to get started.

Hooray! It's a squeaky turtle toy!

Duke got a Washington Huskies #1 Jersey. It was a little too big, but Mommy says she can fix it for him.

And I got a new pink dress.

Another one of me in my new pink dress. Sorry, but I'm just so pretty in pink!

We also got a new rockstar coat. This was actually for both of us, but I'm not so sure about sharing my wardrobe with my obnoxious brother!

And finally, Duke and I both showing off our new outfits.

We also got lots of new toys, and plenty of treats. All in all, I would have to say it was a very good Christmas. In our next post, we'll show you some of the presents we gave out this Christmas. And we might even show everybody what the Crazy Man Who Lives Next Door looks like. But right now, we are going to rest up for the big New Years Eve party! Merry Christmas everybody!

Presents From Grandma

This is a giant doughnut that my Grandma got me for Christmas. She got Gidget a soccer ball toy, but of course that quickly became my toy also.

The best Christmas gift that we received this year was from our Grandma. She made a donation in our name to Seattle Pug Rescue. And of course there is nothing we enjoy more than helping out a Pug in need. What a great Grandma we have! Thanks Grandma!

P.S. We will post more Christmas pictures later, but right now we have to go attack our Cousin Keith while our Dad attempts to give him a guitar lesson. See ya!

The Start Of Christmas Vacation

Since neither Mommy or Daddy have to go back to work until after Christmas, Mommy declared last night "The Start Of Christmas Vacation".

This meant that everybody got to open one present. Daddy was not in favor of this idea, but since he already had a couple of hot buttered rums in him, he reluctantly agreed. We agreed with no reluctance whatsoever.

We got to go first. Here we are checking out our gift. Hmmm, what can it be?

Duke actually did most of the opening. Hurry up Duke!

Oh Boy! Just what we always wanted! A rubber ladies shoe! Yipppeeee!

Mommy and Daddy each got to open a gift after that. Mommy got a University of Washington Huskies hooded sweatshirt, and Daddy got the complete second season of the Sopranos. These were nice gifts also, but of course they pale in comparison to our rubber ladies shoe!

In fact, we like our gift so much that in the true spirit of Christmas, we have already had two dogfights over it. Oh boy, I can't wait for Christmas. The fur is really going to be flying. Happy Start of Christmas Vacation everybody!

Our Christmas Shopping Is Done!

Gidget and I were snooping around underneath the tree today. Of course there were lots of presents for us, but to our surprise, there were also lots of presents from us too! That seemed kinda weird to us, because neither Gidget or I can actually remember doing any Christmas shopping. So how cool is that? Our Christmas shopping is done and we didn't even have to go to the mall! It sure is good being a spoiled Pug!

3 Year Anniversary

Hey, I almost forgot. Friday was the 3 year anniversary of the day that I came to live with Mom, Dad, and Gidget. And what a great 3 years it's been! Happy Anniversary to me!

Meet The Parents

We have noticed that a lot of our blogger buddies have been featuring pictures of their humans in their blogs lately. We have always been known as trend-followers, so we thought we would share a picture of our Mom & Dad. This is us in front of the Christmas tree.

In case you were wondering, we are the furry cute ones in this picture.

We've Been Christmas Tagged!

We've been Christmas tagged by Django! Here are the rules:

The player of this game starts with "3 things he/ she would love to get for Christmas" and also has to list "3 things he/ she definitely does not want to get for Christmas". Then he/she tags 5 friends and list their names. The ones who get tagged need to write on their blogs about their Christmas wishes, as well as state this rule clearly, then tag 5 more victims. And the one who tags need to leave his/her victim a comment that says "you've been Christmas tagged!" in their comments and tell them to read your blog.

Since the two of us couldn't agree on just three things, we choose to list five. So here are the five things we would love to get for Christmas:
1. The pantry completed filled with treats.
2. Opposable thumbs so we can open the pantry door.
3. The freedom to pee and poop indoors without consequences.
4. An Official Red Ryder Carbine-Action Two-Hundred-Shot Range Model Air Rifle
5. For all the homeless and abused doggies in the world to find a family that loves them.

And here are five things we would not like to get for Christmas:

1. A fruitcake
2. Put on another diet
3. Neutered, again (that one was Duke's)
4. A bath
5. A trip to the vet

OK, that's our list. Now, we would like to tag Pugsley, the Lovely Lady Pug, Rocco, Oscar, Napoleon and Maggie, and Ronin. Merry Christmas everybody!

The Head Tilt

Today, I would like to demonstrate the proper execution of that tried and true Pug cuteness technique, the head tilt. What I am barking at is our 3 1/2 month old niece Jillian, laughing on the answering machine. Please take note of the angle of the tilt, the back and forth motion of the head, and the mandatory crazy barking both before and after the head tilt. These are all very important steps in achieving the full Pug cuteness potential.

George and Martha

We have a couple of Bald Eagles that live in our neighborhood. Their names are George and Martha, and they live in a tree a couple blocks from our house. We apologize for how fuzzy the picture is, but dad is getting kinda old, and his hands are a little bit shaky. Anyway, Mom always freaks out when she spots one, because she thinks they are going to swoop down and take us away. Dad used to think she was just paranoid, but then he heard about a Beagle in the neighborhood that got "taken for a ride". Now, he doesn't think she is just paranoid anymore. Personally, I am not worried. I am a tough guy, and I think I could take them. So bring it on, birdie boy!

Pug Meetup

Yesterday, we went to a Pug meetup. Not only was it lots of fun, but it was also for a good cause. Donations were collected for Seattle Pug Rescue. We don't quite understand why any Pug would ever need to be rescued, but apparently, some do. We hope everybody will keep our less fortunate Puggie brothers and sisters in mind. Not only during the holiday season, but all through the year. Now, on to the meetup pics...

I always try to smile for the camera. Even when my butt is about to get sniffed.

Duke always sticks his tongue out for the camera.

This is Winston's Daddy trying to give me a kiss. What nerve!

And this Is Winston, looking as regal as ever.

Santa Pug and his helper also made an appearance.

The Puggie on the left wanted to know if the Puggie on the right was comfortable.

I think I am very pretty in purple.

All in all, we had a wonderful time. But right now, we are beat. I think we will spend the next couple days napping on the couch!
