We Swam ... Kinda
All in all it was a pretty fun day, but I think Mom & Dad had more fun than we did.

Duke Out
Today was a very fun day. First, we went to a birthday party for our human cousin, Michael (Happy Birthday Mike!). We got to hang out with all of our human relatives, and Duke got to leave his mark on everything in the yard. We also got to meet two chihuahuas named Tina and Charlie. They didn't really look like any dogs we had ever seen before, but we sniffed them up and can confirm, they definitely are dogs. They were pretty uptight at first, but eventually they warmed up to us. Also, they made us feel like big dogs, which was a first for Duke and I.
You might know me as the "sweet one" in the family, but I also have a bad side. Duke isn't the only one kickin' ass and takin' names around here, ya know. Every once in a while I get the urge to tip back a few and "head out on the highway". In fact, I'm kinda getting that urge right now. Where did I leave my hog?
Dad spent the weekend yelling at a bunch of humans kicking a ball around on the TV. Apparently just watching soccer for 16 solid hours wasn't enough for the old man, so he decided to get a game going in the backyard. We needed one more player, so we invited our buddy Emmy.
Duke and I are very excited because today is our mommy's birthday! We think she is the best mommy in the world and to show her how much we love her Duke and I have some special treats for her. I am giving her my favorite squeaky toy and Duke is giving her his rope toy. And to top it off we even made her an alpo birthday cake with milk bone candles! Unfortunately Duke ate the cake before we could give it to her but hey, it's the thought that counts. Happy Birthday Mommy!
Look into our eyes. Look deep into our eyes. You are getting very, very sleepy. When we count to three and snap our fingers you will awaken. You will go into the kitchen. You will open the pantry door. You will take ALL the dog treats off the shelf and pour them out onto the floor. You will then leave the room. OK, 1, 2, 3..... Oh Damn! We don't have fingers!! grrrrrr
It's Wednesday night and that means our favorite show is on: LOST. I know it is only a rerun, but we don't care. That show totally rocks. The only thing we don't like about it is that bad, bad man Michael. We used to think he was pretty cool, but not anymore. And not just because he betrayed the rest of the castaways. I mean can you believe he actually took off on a boat and left his dog Vincent behind? What is this guy thinking? Bad, bad human.
Mom and Dad had a new front door installed today, so they gave us a choice: we could stay home and bark at the door installer dude, or we could go to Doggy Haven for daycare. Barking at the installer did sound pretty fun, but we opted for daycare anyway. So here are a couple of pictures, one of me and Gidget on the way to daycare, and one of me on the way home from daycare. Notice any difference between the two?
Today was a pretty good day. Got in a whole bunch of lounging time and Mommy and Daddy brought us home a new treat....my very first Greenie! It was a little too hard for me at first (I have a dainty little mouth you know) so they warmed it up to soften it for me. It was pretty yummy and I savored this new delicacy for about 20 minutes. Duke on the other hand inhaled his in about 5 minutes....Barbarian!
Last night was a pretty nice night here in Lake Stevens (translation: it wasn't raining) so Mom and Dad decided to sit around the firepit (as you can see from my two most recent markings, I like to use it as my own personal fire hydrant).
Hello,
